2025 Season – Our men are in WSBL division 2 League for this season.

Saturday 14th June – WSBL v Petworth at home. Our men won on just 1 rink gaining 2 league points.

Wednesday 21st May – Men’s Abergavenny Cup 2nd round v Witterings. Crablands lost 34-44  & are out of the competition.

Thursday 18th July – Men’s County Abergavenny Double rink v Arundel both home and away. The men won 39-37

Friday June 21st – WSBL v  Chichester A at home. They lost on three rinks and drew on one gaining 1 league point.

30th April – The first match of the season was a men’s friendly against Wittering at Wittering. Crablands winning by 2 points overall. The teams were:

Archie Colletta, Tom Oliver, Mike Lockyer and Richard Humphrey who were the Top Rink.

2023 Season
Men’s WSBL v Pulborough at Pulborough – Saturday 26th August
Crablands Men are now champions of the WSB League Division 2 after collecting 8 points at Pulborough (despite rain curtailing play).
After 11 ends (which constituted a game), scores were 46-32
Richard Green, Ray Sayer, John Cornwell and Richard Humphrey won 17-4
Kevin Gibbs, Lew Lewendon, Peter Blackman and Derek Clacey won 13-5
John Thorp, Dave Osman, Alan Bateman and Tony Dade won 9-6

Mens’ National 3 wood Pairs Competition

Ian Ford and Paul Chuter have progressed to the Area Finals after overcoming a Pagham pair in a hard fought for match which went to an extra end. Good luck in the next round

In Rd 1 Dave Evans had a w/o then played Francis Fahey from Worthing Pavilion at Worthing Pavilion & won 21-14

Dave played Jack Carline from Maltravers at Maltravers & lost 12-21.

1st round – Tuesday 16th May Ian Ford played Jack Carline from Maltravers & won 23-15

2nd round – Tuesday 30th May: Ian played Ivan Godsmark from Marine Gardens & won 21-18

Mens’ County Triples

We had two teams entered for this competition

Richard Humphrey, Alan Bateman and Derek Clacey won 2 rounds, both at home against teams from Worthing Pavilion, firstly winning 21-3 when WP conceded after 12 ends. The second round they won 20-12. In the 3rd round the team lost to Chichester & are now unfortunately out of the competition.
Sadly, our second Triples team of Dave Evans, Tony Dade and Ian Ford had a walk over but then lost at Petworth in the 2nd round

Crablands Men won at home but lost away to Petworth and lost overall (31-39).

In the West Sussex Bowls League Division 2, Crablands Men hosted Pulborough BC and lost 60-93 but gained 3 points to 7

Men’s PC Cup v Petworth at Petworth – Saturday 20th May

Unfortunately the men lost this first round match

2023 Men’s County 4s 

In the 1st round on Monday 15th May our men  played Tarring Priory at home and won 16-11

The team was – Dave Evans, Richard Humphrey, Derek Clacey & Ian Ford

In the 2nd round on Wednesday 17th May they played Petworth at home and won 26-21

In the Area Final on Friday 19th May they played Midhurst at home and won 18-7

They are now through to the Men’s quarter finals on Friday 7th July
